Supreme Knights Presents: Pick Your Poison!
Mind-games. Mind-games and more mind-games. Pick Your Poison (PYP) is a 64-player tournament where players pick heroes for their enemies, introducing a whole new level of strategy and mind-games to the tournament scene.
Format:
Minimum 64 players
First five rounds are single elimination best-of-3, final round is a best-of-5
Hero Lock ONLY, NO Deck Lock
1 week allocated per round
Rules:
In the first five bo3 rounds, players take turns to pick heroes for their opponents to use in the round. For example:
Player A picks Eladwen
Player B picks Logan
Player A picks Ter Adun
Player B picks Baduruu
Player A picks Victor
Player B picks Elementalis
Player A’s heroes for this round: Logan, Baduruu, Elementalis
Player B’s heroes for this round: Eladwen, Ter Adun, Victor
Whoever wins this round will eliminate the above 6 heroes from their hero pool. Players cannot repeat same hero choices (Logan, Logan) but are still allowed to pick the same heroes as their opponents. If Player A wins this round and faces Player C, he will not be allowed to pick the above 6 heroes for Player C to use. However, if Player C fought Player D and both of them have never used any of the 6 heroes of A-B match, Player C can still choose Logan, Baduruu and Elementalis.
A list of heroes used will be available here: [insert Google Sheets link]
The hero pool for the last round is reset so grand finalists are free to choose any 5 heroes for their opponent!
If total number of participants exceed 64, the “0th” round does not eliminate any player’s hero pool for the next 5 rounds.
FTA: Game 1 random, Game 2 alternate, Game 3 random
Games tied are replayed with the same player going first
Disconnected games count as win for the opposing player
Deadlines: TBA
